Minivan rams SUV in mistaken gang retribution on West Side

A solution to this would be to gather all the gang members and put them into an enclosed area, say a stadium that was sealed off, and let them have at it. The world would be a better place without these lowlifes…. But, we have to remember that they have rights, cannot be racially profiled or singled out by police, had terrible home lives and therefore, are not responsi9ble for their actions, or they are insane and the devil made them do it…. Judge: Louisville Liable for Off-Duty Crashes

I would think that the city vehicle would be covered by the city. How ridiculous would it be if the officers had to pay for auto insurance on the city cars that they drive to and from work… LOUISVILLE, Ky. –Louisville tax dollars may be at greater risk, thanks to a judge’s ruling in a wrongful death lawsuit. The ruling as it stands means the city can be sued if a police officer is involved in an accident in a cruiser to or from work. Because the city is self-insured, any payments would come from tax dollars. In October 2006, Donnie Puente was in an emergency lane on the Watterson Expressway putting gasoline into a friend’s …Read more […..]

Lawmakers to propose ban on driving while texting

A great start! About time that this is addressed…. How many times have you been right behind someone who is texting–or talking on the phone for that matter– and they are in the left lane driving sloooow. You are on their butt and then after what seems forever they see you in their mirror and get mad that you are on their a$$. Getting out of hand. Will be interesting how this is handled in court. I can see it now, attorneys trying to say that their clients were not texting and that the officer made it up, was racial profiling, or whatever else they can conjure up. And, will officers be able to confiscate phones to prove …Read more […..]
