Detective Paul Reno Remembers His Grandfather In Video

Nice video of an Officer who sees his Grandfather’s name–and the Grandfather’s Partner’s name– on the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall. The story has a unique twist too. Detective Paul Reno of the Sterling Heights Police Department remembers his grandfather, Officer Hiram J. Reno and his grandfather’s partner, Officer Seymour Lawler, of the Detroit Police Department. Detective Reno recalls his first visit to the Memorial in 2001 and the emotional impact of seeing his grandfather’s name on the wall. Chicago police may scrap entrance exam

This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of. After personally witnessing the brainless dimwits in law enforcement–many in administrative/command roles, especially a certain Police Chief–that got hired with the testing, I can’t imagine the people who would be hired with no testing. Besides that, it is just inviting more corruption(than there already is) and favoritism in hiring(even with testing in place I have seen several people get hired because they were tight with the police chief, one in particular has the brains of an idiot.) The higher ups in the Chicago Police Department sound like the higher ups I worked for …Read more […..]
