A Chicago police officer was shot and killed during an altercation outside a police building on the South Side, officials said. The suspect was shot and wounded by another officer, and taken into custody, sources said. The suspect was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Officials could not provide a condition for the suspect, but an official said he was stable.
